1987 Snow Reports found in the Newstext database.

I searched the Newstext database with a variety of keywords for the 1987 period 1st April to 10th December and found references to only one snow event, on 26th May. The only South Australian newspaper in the database for that year is The Advertiser. To the best of my knowledge the Bureau of Meteorology's daily reports with weather maps published in The Advertiser are not included in the database.

My search was limited to the Newstext database and so did not find any SA snowfalls not reported in articles in The Advertiser for 1st April to 10th December 1987.

In summary the snow-relevant text for the 26th May event says "The Bureau ... received reports of hail in central and southern parts of the State and two unofficial reports of snow - at Mount Lofty and Port Noarlunga. ...".
